On 7–8 October 2026, we held a two-day event here at Chatsworth House for livestock and cropping farmers looking to improve their understanding of natural capital and its role in farm businesses.

With a strong focus on building natural capital, strengthening farm resilience and improving long-term profitability, the event delivered practical insights grounded in real-world experience. Across the two days, we heard from expert speakers and panel discussions, along with hands-on field walk sessions bringing the ideas into the paddock on Day 2. Our aim was to equip farmers with the knowledge and confidence to navigate a rapidly evolving landscape and together build a more sustainable and profitable future.
Agricultural communicator, podcaster, farmer and former ABC journalist Kirsten Diprose MC'd the event, guiding a dynamic line-up of speakers across both days. Day 1 concluded with networking drinks and dinner in the marquee, featuring guest speaker Tim Jarvis AM.

Day One | Wednesday 7th October
Conference style
Day One explored why natural capital matters, from both a world and personal human health point of view, before unpacking unpacking how soil's function and what natural capital means in the finance world. After lunch we heard from about how to put these concepts into practise on farm and heard insights into supply chains and emerging natural capital markets (including soil carbon projects). The day was designed to be both practical and thought-provoking, helping attendees understand how to integrate these concepts into their farm businesses to build resilience, drive profitability and meet evolving consumer expectations.
The day concluded with networking drinks and a delicious dinner in the marquee, an ideal setting for connecting with fellow farmers and industry leaders and hearing from keynote speaker Tim Jarvis AM.

Day Two | Thursday 8th October
Panels & Practical Sessions
On the morning of Day Two, the focus shifted to agtech, foliar applications and the practicalities of how farmers can use these approaches in their own businesses, with insights from producers already putting them into practice.
In the afternoon, attendees dove deeper into soil health in a soil pit session led by Joel Williams and took part in an interactive paddock workshop on grazing management with David McLean from RCS - incorporating how we AgriWebb here at Chatsworth House.
